Subsidy Program

In response to the dramatic effects of COVID19 on local artists and creatives, G&N Developments has created subsidized working studio spaces at 100 Sunrise Ave to support diverse and under-represented creatives in the neighbourhood. 

Artists have the opportunity to focus on their individual craft while enjoying the inspiration and mentoring of others.  The 2,500 sf space also provides opportunity to exhibit work in the adjoining GALLERY106.  From October 30th 2020, SUNRISE STUDIOS is pleased to present a soft-launch featuring works of eight members in GALLERY106.

SUNRISE STUDIOS provides subsidized innovative working studio spaces to support diverse, under-represented artists, designers & creatives in the neighbourhood. The 2,500 sf space offers members bright, private studio spaces ranging from 30 – 200+ square feet with 24-hour access and the opportunity to exhibit their work in the adjoining Gallery106.  Features include: Very high ceilings, free internet, concrete floor, air conditioning, shared kitchen, large windows and skylights. 

Sunrise Studios seeks to nurture artistic practices by encouraging collaboration, skills sharing and dialogue within a progressive and diverse community of makers and cultural entrepreneurs.  This initiative is committed to the values of equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility.
